James A. Roche, Jr.

Roche, James A., Jr. “Jimmy” of Pelham, NC, originally from Dorchester, died August 3, 2023.  

Jimmy, or “Bugsy” as he was known as to his friends, was a proud Army veteran and served during Vietnam. He worked for many years in maintenance at BC High School before retiring. He enjoyed playing golf and spending time with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. 

Loving son of the late James A. Roche, Sr. and Mary C. Roche. Cherished brother of Barbara A. Dhooge and her late husband Eugene of Braintree and Judith M. Malcolm of Pelham, NC. Loving uncle of Eugene and Kristin Dhooge and the late Michael Dhooge, Elizabeth Dhooge, and Daniel Pietrafitta and several grand nieces and nephews and many cousins. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9  AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Dorchester, at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jimmy may be made to Neurofibromatosis Northeast, 9 Bedford St., Burlington, MA 01803
