Jacob J. Foss

Foss, Jacob J. of Pembroke, died November 7, 2024. 

Jake adored his family, was a proud Marine and had a deep love for animals and nature. Starting at a young age, Jake had a passion for motorcycles and weightlifting, which he continued throughout his adult life. He received his master's degree from Bridgewater State University and worked as a police officer for the MBTA transit police and Hingham Police prior to changing careers. He was currently attending the New England Tractor Trailer Training School, where he was planning to receive his Class A CDL in March 2025. Jake had a big heart, was compassionate, generous, energetic, and a big teddy bear. His smile lit up the room and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him. 

Beloved son of James Foss of Hanson and Kimberly Kramer of Cohasset. Devoted fiancé of Maria Petrucci of Pembroke. Adored grandson to his Mimi, Alla Foss and his late Papou, James Foss, Jr., and to his Papa and Nana, Ronald and Sandra Kramer. Cherished by his aunt, Alexandra Cavanaugh, her husband, Sean and their children Casey and Joseph. Beloved nephew of Keith Kramer, and great nephew to Leonard Hawrilenko and his wife, Alice and the late Helene Lofgren, as well as his mother’s biological family, Geraldine, Alison and Mark Shurman. Also survived by his beloved German Shepherd, Dharma, and many extended family and dear friends. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 11/14/2024 from 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Funeral Mass will be Friday 11/15/2024 in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jake may be made to the Scituate Animal Shelter, 780 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Scituate, MA 02066.
