J. Paul Toner

Toner, J. Paul of Carver, formerly of Melrose and Weymouth, died April 20, 2023. He was 90.

Paul was a man of many different interests and facets. He was a graduate of Massachusetts Maritine Academy Class of 1953. Paul was a proud Navy veteran of both the Korean and Vietnam wars. He also enjoyed his time as a Scout Leader and spending time on his farm with his assortment of animals and outside at Pond Meadow Park where he was a commissioner. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

Paul was the Beloved husband of 63 years to his high school sweetheart, the late Mary Ann (Copson) Toner.

Cherished father to Patricia Heywood and her husband Timothy of E. Falmouth, James E. Toner and his wife Debra of Rockland, Robert Toner of Carver, Carol Weddell and her husband Russell of Rehoboth, and Michael Toner and Sindy Gauthier of Carver. Proud grandfather of 10 grandchildren (one who predeceased him) and 1great grandchild. He was also brother of the late Priscilla Byrnes.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery- Stoneham.
