J. Maurice “Pete” Lafond

LaFond, J.Maurice “Pete” of Hingham, November 5, 2005. Husband of the late Carmella (Lombardo). Father of Diane P. Furness of Quincy and Robert P. LaFond of Hingham. Brother of Peter Joseph O’Grady of CA, Albert LaFond of Leominister, Lorraine Gould of Plymouth,MI and the late Arthur LaFond and Pauline Diamond. Grandfather of Paris Lavoie of Plymouth, Andre Lavoie of Hull, Robert P. LaFond, Jr. of Worcester, Brandon LaFond of Dorchester and Blake LaFond of VT. Pete is also survived by 4 great granchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pete may be made to Chelsea Soldiers Home, 91 Crest Avenue, Chelsea, MA 02150. Mr. LaFond was W.W.II Army veteran. Pete was a member of the American Legion as well as a member of the Sons of Italy in Hingham.
