Irving S. Walling

Walling, Irving S. of Weymouth, died November 18, 2013. 

Irving served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He worked as a claims adjuster for Hanover insurance and later at Quincy Mutual.  Irving was a drummer in the Danny Shea band, Walling Brothers band, the Chariots and other local bands in the South Shore and Cape Cod.  He enjoyed volunteering at the Weymouth Whipple Center and playing Santa for family and friends during the Holiday Season.  Irving was a member of the American Legion. He will be sadly missed by all.

Beloved husband of Rose Walling (Lanahan) of Weymouth.  Loving father of Irving S. Walling Jr. of Revere, William D. Walling of Weymouth, James F. Walling of Plymouth and Sally A. Holmes and her husband John of Abington.  Son of the late Irving and Winifred Walling.  Caring brother of Winifred Mattson and her late husband Robert of Weymouth and George Walling and his wife Nancy of Weymouth.  Devoted Papa of William Jr, Jessica and Erica Walling, Edward and Michael Holmes and the late Jennifer Walling. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home North Weymouth. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
