Irene M. O’Brien

O’Brien, Irene M. (McNulty) of Weymouth, died July 11, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. 

Irene was a loving and devoted family woman.  She enjoyed line dancing, reading, watching television, and spending time outdoors. In her earlier years, Irene worked for New England Telephone Company as an operator.  Her main passion was her family and spending time with those she loved.

Pre deceased by the love of her life Vincent R. O’Brien.  Beloved mother of Donna Maher and her husband Frank, Dennis O’Brien and his wife Joan and Stephen O’Brien and his wife Kim, all of Weymouth.  Beloved Nana of Erika O’Brien. Devoted sister of Lillian MacDonald Habib of Walpole, and the late James McNulty, Geraldine Dennehy and Elizabeth Keddy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Irene’s family would like to thank Nancy Coole, Laura Cullen, Cindy MacPherson and the staff at Colonial Nursing Home, RM1 for their wonderful and loving care.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Irene may be made to Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
