Irene L. D’Entremont

Irene L. D’Entremont, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at South Shore Hospital on Monday, November 1, 2021. She was 90.

Born In Chelmsford, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Bernadine Bettencourt, and a graduate of Lowell High School. Irene was a valued employee of South Shore Hospital for over 32 years serving as a Unit Coordinator in the ICU. She served as President of The Old Colony PM Club. She was an active member of St Francis Xavier Parish and enjoyed working at their annual Church Bazaar.

Irene cherished spending time with her family and many friends. She enjoyed traveling the world, shopping, bowling, bingo and at social gatherings she was well known for her impeccable sense of style.

She was the beloved wife of the late Harold J. D’Entremont for 62 years; loving mother of Duane D’Entremont of Sanford, Maine, Rodney D’Entremont and his wife Marcella of Naples, FL; sister of the late James Bettencourt, aunt of Gail Castellano, her husband Mark and grandniece Gina of Chelmsford.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rt.18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, at 1:15 p.m.
