Irene G. Gillis

Gillis, Irene G. (Hughes) of Quincy formerly of Hingham passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family January 15, 2009. Beloved wife of John M. Gillis of Quincy. Devoted mother of Garry Gillis of Weymouth, Robin Gillis of Stoneham, Renda Thornton of Stoughton, Glenn Gillis of Weymouth and Rochelle Driscoll of Quincy. Sister of F. Gerald Hughes of Worcester and the late Donald G. Hughes. Loving Grandmother of Janelle, Nichole and Riley Driscoll of Quincy, Paige Christopher and Haley Thornton of Stoughton, Taylor and Glenn Gillis Jr. of Weymouth. Irene’s family was the center of her life, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Tuesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Mary’s Church, Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Monday 3- 7 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
