She left South Vietnam in 1982 and she had lived in the refugee camp between Kampuchea and Thailand border for more than 5 years.  Fortunately, her family was interviewed and accepted by the U.S  Ambassy to settle in United States with the help of American ambassadors in Thailand, Father Jean (Switzerland), Father Pierce (France) and Father Tom (USA).  She came to United States of America on 04/22/1988 and her family was sponsored by a wonderful American family (John McCarthy, Mary McCarthy, and Teacher Bob).

Mrs. Huu Ton had raised 4 wonderful children (3 sons and 1 daughter: Suong Van Truong, Cuong Van Truong, Lan Ngoc Truong and John Van Truong). Suong Ngoc Thai (Son), Lan Ngoc Thai (Daughter in law), Michael Truong (grandson), Vivian Truong (granddaughter), Cuong Van Truong (son), Nhung Thi Hong Vu (daughter in law), Han Ngoc Truong (granddaughter), Nhi Ngoc Truong (granddaughter), Lan Ngoc Truong (daughter), Brian Tran (son in law), Hannah Tran (granddaughter), Tiffany Tran (granddaughter), Brian Tran (grandson), John Van Truong (son), Ngoc Thi Bich Le (daughter in law).

All of her children went to school and graduated in Massachusetts.  She was a wonderful lady with surrounding wonderful people in her community.  Most importantly she had spiritually found her internal peace through the wisdom of Buddhism. She wanted to say special thank to all monks, nuns, all of Buddhist members, friends and relatives in Vietnam and USA .  She also wanted to express sincerely special thank to Tufts Medical Center Boston which she had been received an exceptional medical care (Special to all of Tufts Medical Center’s staffs; especially Doctor Winifred Kender, Kristin Huang and many other doctors and nurses).

Finally, from the bottom of her heart she deeply, politically, spiritually and patriotically would like to express special thank to US Government had accepted her family to resettle in the United States of America the land of opportunity, the land of freedom, the land of justice, the land of liberty, and the land of dream for all of us lift up with one single fundamental value UNITED WE STAND.  Remember that we should never think about DIVIDED because DIVIDED we fall.  We always imprint and respect  the most precious and value of our constitutions written by the Founding Fathers. [The Declaration of Independence was written by our Scholars Founding Fathers {by a committee made up of John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman, and Robert Livingston.}, and The Declaration of Independence was signed by each of the 56 delegates to the Second Continental Congress, who came to be known as the nation’s Founding Fathers …].  Therefore there is only one single fundamental value in our melting pot UNITED WE STAND and we are the next future generation have solemn duty to carry on our The Declaration of Independence Day July 4th 1776 to the endlessness.  May all Buddhas of 10 dimensional directions and God bless this wonderful democratic nation USA forever.
