Hugh J. Hastings Jr.

Hastings, Hugh J. of Braintree, died May 2, 2016. Hugh enjoyed spending time at the family home in New Hampshire and going for boat rides with family and friends. Hugh’s main passion was his family and spending time with those he loved, especially his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed. Beloved husband of the late Mary F. Hastings (White). Son of the late Hugh J. Hastings Sr. and Anne T. (O’ Malley) Hastings. Loving brother of the late Patricia Hartsgrove of Quincy and the late Barbara Duggan of Texas. Devoted uncle of Teri Preble and her husband Mark, Robin Tyll, Cathy Chiasson, Maureen Caflisch and her husband Geoffrey, John Hartsgrove and many other nieces and nephews. Cherished Grandpa of Kate and Alex Preble. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10AM Thursday for a funeral home service. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Hugh may be made to the Atrium at Faxon Woods in care of the Associate Fund at 2003 Falls Blvd, Quincy MA 02169.
