Hilda Fillingim

Hilda Fillingim of Beverly, formerly of Florida and Weymouth, MA, passed away peacefully at 96 years old on February 17, 2022. Family was the center of Hilda’s world.  She was predeceased by her husband William and leaves behind eight children and their families; Bill and Linda of Colorado, Cathy and Bob of Massachusetts, Tom and Michelle of Florida, Bobby of Florida, Alice of Massachusetts, Dan of New Hampshire, David and Jacqueline of Massachusetts, and Margaret and Tim of Connecticut as well as 18 adored grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.  She will be greatly missed by her loving family.

Hilda worked for the Red Cross in World War II in Washington D.C. Even with eight children, she found time for many hobbies especially gardening, painting seascapes, and individual crochet exhibits. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband and family, especially cruises.

Many thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful staff at Herrick House where Hilda lived life to the fullest in her final years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited greet the family during the visiting hours on Thursday 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY followed by a funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in her memory may be made to the Herrick House Appreciation Fund, Herrick House, c/o Nancy Moore, 89 Herrick St. Beverly, MA. 01915.
