Herbert Ullrich Rogalski

Herbert Ullrich Rogalski, age 82, died peacefully on December 6th, 2022.

He was born in Breloh, Germany on February 27th, 1940, to Max and Martha Rogalski. He is survived by his wife of 59 yrs., Roberta (Iacomini) Rogalski, his three children and their spouses Peter Rogalski and Laura Dougherty Rogalski, Paul and Jessica Rogalski, and Marianne and Robert Murphy. He leaves behind his loving grandchildren Sasha, Caleigh, Alyssa, Erin, Jacquelyn, Jon, Nicholas, and the late Zachary. He is also survived by his siblings Edith Matthes, Karl Rogalski and his wife Ingrid, Marlies Price, his nephew Bob Matthes, and many other nieces and nephews.

Herb graduated from the Vesper George School of Art and was a talented Graphic Designer working for Polaroid, The Boston Globe, Aqua-Leisure Industries, and his own business, Rogalski Associates. In his retirement, he worked for Hannaford Supermarket.

He was President of the Boylston Schul-Verein German Club, in Walpole, MA, and was also a member of the Sclaraffaia Bostonia and the Sängerchor Boston. He was passionate about soccer and was one of the founders of the Hingham Youth Soccer program. He loved to sing, cook, tell stories and make cards. He had a love for nature and animals, and enjoyed traveling, camping and kayaking. Proud of his heritage, we would like to share one of his favorite German sayings: Zicke Zacke, Zicke Zacke, Hoi Hoi Hoi!
