Cunniff, Henry Thomas, III of Squantum formerly of Neponset, March 23, 2007. Beloved husband of Elaine (Donnelly) Cunniff of Squantum. Loving father of Henry T. Cunniff, IV of Squantum, and Tammy E. Simeonidis and her husband Eric of Medford. Devoted brother of Patricia Murphy of Neponset and George W. Murphy and his wife Hazel of Marshfield. Cherished grandfather of Henry T. Cunniff, V of Squantum, and Nikolaos and Katerina Simeonidis of Medford. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Wednesday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, 251 Neponset Ave. Dorchester at 11 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Donations in memory of Mr. Cunniff may be made to Boston Labor Guild, 85 Commercial Street, Weymouth MA 02188. Henry was born in Boston and grew up in the Neponset section of Dorchester. Henry Thomas was a graduate of The Boston Trade School and Wentworth Institute in Boston. He was a member of the Boston Carpenters Union Local #51. He was an advocate of union labor, it defined who he was. He loved to read and loved to educate himself on Labor and Irish History. At one time he taught Labor History at the Boston Carpenter Apprentice Program in Boston. At home he had a great passion for gardening both flowers and vegetables. Henry was an animal lover, especially of his dog, “Harry”. He was a member of the Boston Labor Guild and a Friend of Bill W. Most of all Henry loved his family very much and was a very proud grandfather.
