Helene “Lois” Moore

Helene “Lois” Moore  of Jamaica Plain, formerly of Weymouth, died December 12, 2014. She was 88.

She was a 1947 graduate of the College of New Rochelle in New York.  Lois worked as a Paralegal for Gaston Snow, and Ely Bartlett and later for Fidelity Investments in Boston until her retirement. A world traveler, she visited many locales including, Mexico, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, and Hawaii. Lois was fluent in Spanish and enjoyed reading. A devout Cathoilc, she was a parishioner of Saint Jerome’s Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Rogerson House in Jamaica Plain where Lois resided for the past 6 years, for the compassionate care they provided her.

Daughter of the late Dr. Hugh and Helen Moore. Sister of the late Hugh L. Moore, Jr. Sister-in-law of Jean Moore of R.I. Aunt of Paul C. Moore of Hyde Park. Cousin of Jean Ferreri of Newton Centre.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday from 9:30 AM-10:30AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.), followed by her Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
