Helene J. Joyce

Helene J. Joyce of Weymouth, formerly of Braintree and South Boston, died March 26, 2018 at the age of 80.

Helene worked for the Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) for 25 years, retiring in 2003. She wintered in Naples, FL for 20 years where she made many friends. Helene enjoyed Bingo and trips to Foxwoods.

She was the beloved wife of Thomas F. Joyce, Jr.. Loving mother of James M. Joyce of South Boston, Maureen Heffernan of Pepperell, Suzanne Joyce, Brenda Joyce, Patricia Donovan, all of Braintree and the late Thomas Joyce. Cherished grandmother of Katie and Kelly Keffernan; James M. Joyce, Jr., Emily and Abby Joyce; Claudia and Joseph Donovan; and 3 great grandchildren. Sister of John R. Skarbinski of South Boston. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
