Nolan, Helene C. (Daughney) of Hingham, February 27, 2003. Wife of the late John J. Nolan. Loving Mother of M. Caroline Nolan of Hingham, Thomas J. Nolan and his wife Mary of Dorchester. Helene is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 9: AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Holyhood Cemetery, Brookline. Helene C. (Daughney) Nolan , 94 of Hingham died Thursday in South Shore Hospital. Born in New Castle, New Brunswick, Canada, she has lived in Dorchester before moving to Hingham 31 years ago. Mrs. Nolan served as past president of the Holy Cross Academy league. She was also involved in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal and was a prolific poet. As a young girl in New Castle she was active in the congregational of Notre Dame and was referred to as the “little girl of the swing”.
