Linscott, Helena F. (Yashtinsky) of Hingham, passed away May 5, 2011. Beloved wife of Colby T. Linscott of Hingham. Loving mother of Michael F. Linscott of Hingham, Edward C. Linscott and his wife Dina Cristobal of West Haven, CT, Joseph A. Linscott of Plymouth, Stacy J. Varao and her husband Antone of Plymouth and the late Christina Alice Linscott. Sister of the late Alice and Frank Yashtinsky. Dear aunt of Mark Grindle, Kevin Yashtinsky and Caroline Mitchem. Cherished Babcia of Hannah, Sarah, Michael, Joseph, Allison, Jessica and Thamara. Helena was born in Boston and grew up in Boston’s West End. She settled in Hingham with her husband Colby in 1960 where she raised her family and lived for the past 51 years. Helena was very proud of her Polish Heritage which she shared with her husband and family. She enjoyed getting together with family and preparing holiday meals for the entire family. Helena will be remembered as the neighborhood mother and grandmother to all of her children’s friends. In her earlier years Helena worked at General Alloys, Massachusetts General Hospital, and Saint Jude Children’s Research. Family was the cornerstone of Helena’s life she was a proud grandmother, Mother and Wife. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Interment will be private at a later date. donations in memory of Helena may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
