Helen V. Joyce
Helen V. Joyce (Horan) of Braintree, passed away peacefully at home with her daughter by her side on December 11, 2023. She was 85 years old.
Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annette Horan (Mulligan). Raised in Dorchester she was a graduate of Archbishop Cardinal Cushing High School Class of 55’. She went on to graduate from Boston City Hospital Nursing School in 1958. She worked there for 20 years & then at
Braintree Manor Nursing Home as a supervisor. She was a resident of Braintree for 60 years. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her daughter on their annual trips to St. Maarten and Aruba.
She will be remembered fondly by her friends and family.
Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Joyce for 45 years. Loving mother of Laurie Ann Joyce of Braintree and a devoted mother of late Gerard J. Joyce of Braintree.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, Braintree at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
