Nugent, Helen T. (Morrison) of Quincy, formerly of Rockland, Foxboro and Dorchester, died on Saturday, January 02, 2010. Beloved wife of the late Alfred J. Nugent. Devoted mother of Paul E. Nugent of Katy, TX, Theresa and her husband Neal Linehan of Marco Island, FL, Alfred J. Nugent of Attleboro, Margaret and her husband Stephen Sweeney of Squantum, Catherine (McElvenny) and her husband Paul Casey of Foxboro, Patrick Nugent and his wife Lisa of Easton and Richard Nugent and his wife Kerrin of N. Attleboro. Cherished Nana of 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by 6 siblings and lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews. In Helen’s early years in Jamaica Plain she was active in Blessed Sacrament Church. She worked as a record keeper for State Street for over 25 years. Family always being most important, she went on to raise 7 children taking an active role in each of their lives. Once all of her children were grown she was able to embrace life again, traveling with her sisters, brothers, children and grandchildren, always enjoying the simple things that life has to offer. She was also an avid Red Sox fan. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday, 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 AM. Burial will be in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Quincy Council on Aging, 440 East Squantum Street, Quincy, MA 02171
