Burke, Helen R. of Braintree, formerly of Abington and Squantum, November 23, 2005. Beloved mother of Edwina and her husband Tony Voislow of Braintree, Stephen E. Burke and his wife Dorothy of Braintree, and Christine G. Francis of Manchester, VT. Cherished grandmother of Thomas E. Voislow, Keith R. Voislow, Jennifer McKenzie Burke, Allison H. Burke, Meghan A. McClafferty, Maura H. McClafferty, and Katherine T. McClafferty. Former mother-in-law of Steve McClafferty. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Saturday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Donations in memory of Mrs. Burke may be made to Catholic Charities, 75 Kneeland Street, 8th Floor, Boston, MA 02111. Helen was a case worker for Work, Inc. (formerly South Shore Mental Health) for over 25 years. A former parishioner of Star of the Sea, she was a former V.P. of the Squantum Womens Club and a Den Mother of the Squantum Cub Scouts. She enjoyed reading, walking the beach, collecting shells, knitting and crocheting. She was also an avid sports fan.
