Helen M. O’Brien

O’Brien, Helen M. (Lynch) of Hingham, formerly of Abington, died peacefully on August 20, 2018. 

Beloved wife of over 60 years to the late Paul F. O’Brien. Devoted mother of Kathleen Tracy and her husband Brian of Idyllwild CA, Claire Dempsey and her husband Tom of Hingham MA, Kevin O’Brien and his wife Sandy of Portsmouth NH and Mary Ellen Hewins and her husband Paul of Hingham MA. Cherished Nana and Grammy of Kevin and Sean Tracy, Paul and Ryan Thiebauth, Rachel and Beck O’Brien and Eve and Jake Hewins. Helen was predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters. She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. 

Helen had a long career at New England Art Publishers in Abington. Helen will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion and selflessness. She was devoted to her faith and her love for her family was unwavering. She brought happiness to so many even just with her smile. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at Bridges by Epoch, Hingham MA and North River Home Health Care, Norwell MA. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Thursday 9-10:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). A Funeral Mass will follow in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
