Costa, Helen M. of Quincy, died peacefully surrounded by her family on December 22, 2013, she was 83.

Wife of the late Neal J. Smith and Philip J. Costa. Devoted mother of Anthony Smith and his wife Ann of MIlton, Neal J. Smith, Jr and his wife Susan of Canton, Deborah A. Smith of Milton, Philip J. Costa, Jr and his fiancee Janice Lucht of Berlin and Lisa M. Jancaterino of Milton. Sister of Anthony J. Gaeta, Jr. of Weymouth. Cherished grandmother of Matthew Rollinson, John A. Smith, Michael A. Smith, Christopher N. Smith, Anthony J. Smith, Jr., Samuel Azar, Ashley R. Jancaterino, Johanna Bonds, and Domenic E. Jancaterino. Great grandmother of Jack and Nate Rollinson and Gabriella Azar. Longtime friend of Albert Sheehan of Quincy. She was the niece of Victoria Ornellas and Rebecca Lomuscio of Holliston. 

Helen was a longtime Quincy resident. She worked as an office manager for Dr. Newton Cochrane for many years. The foundation of her life was her family. She will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45am on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM. Burial will be private.
