Helen J. Kelley

Kelley, Helen J (Toussaint) of Rockland passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Monday, March 8, 2021 following a long illness. She was 83 years of age. Born in Berlin, N.H. where she lived until the age of 10 before moving to Weymouth where she was raised and educated. Helen was a 1955 graduate of Weymouth High School. She went on to work at Bethlehem Steel in Boston.  Later in life she was the Office Manager/bookkeeper at General Auto in Quincy. Helen was an avid gardener, a talented cook and took joy in knitting and sewing. Helen enjoyed traveling to Naples, Florida with her family. Her main passion in life was spending time with those she loved, especially her grandsons who as she would always say, “are the air she breathes”.  She was also an active member of the Hanover Senior Center where she made wonderful friendships. Helen will be remembered as a kind and classy lady who was loved by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Beloved wife of the late Lt. Edwin F. Kelley. Loving mother of Stephen J. Kelley of Rockland and Susan K. Barrett of Cohasset. Cherished grandmother of Kyle D. Barrett and Brett K. Barrett of Boston. Devoted daughter of the late Eddie C. and Olive Toussaint (Gilbert). Sister of June T. Novio of Middleboro and the late John E. Toussaint and Pauline MacPherson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 4-8 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, South Weymouth at 809 Main Street (Route 18 opposite South Shore Hospital). Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday March 18, 2021 at St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church in Hanover at 10 A.M. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
