Helen Harrington

Harrington, Helen (Lelecas) of Quincy, died July 17, 2016 at the age of 95.

Helen devoted her life to caring for others.  As a stay at home mother, she took great pride in her growing family.  Helen was a simple woman of faith and was extremely proud of her Greek Heritage.  From 1989-1999, Helen and her husband spent their winters in Lake Worth, Florida and their summers in South Yarmouth, MA.  They also enjoyed traveling on cruises and many other trips.  She would always find time to stay current with the news, especially by reading the New York Times.  Helen will be sadly missed but never forgotten.  

Beloved wife of the later Peter Harrington, Sr.  Loving mother of Gerard Harrington and his wife Ann of Hanson, Peter Harrington Jr. and his wife Ann-Marie of Norton and Jim Harrington and his wife Pam of Natick.  Cherished Nana Helen of Maryellen, Robert, Nicole, Pete, Emily, Kevin and Natalie.  Caring sister of John Lucas of Quincy and George Lucas of Matthews, NC.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.

In lieu of flowers, donation in memory of Helen may be made to St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 119 Common Street, Braintree MA 02184.
