Helen Calnan

CALNAN, Helen (Scully) of Summerville SC, and formerly of South Boston, passed away peacefully on Wednesday November 7, 2018, she was 95.

Born and raised in Dorchester, Helen was a daughter of the late Martin J. Scully and Sigrid (Hook) Morris.  She was educated in Boston Schools, and went on to own and operate the Hallmark Cards and Gifts Store on East Broadway in South Boston for over 50 years.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband, and loved to play golf.    

Helen was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Calnan.  Loving sister of Barbara M. O’Leary of Summerville SC, and the late Martin J. Scully, and Margaret Reece.  Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends will Gather in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY beginning at 9:45 AM on Monday November 12, and then process to Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree for Helen’s graveside service at 11 o’clock.
