Adams, Helen C. (Gillogly) of Quincy, passed away on October 13, 2012, she was 85. The beloved wife of 65 years to Arthur L. Adams, Jr. Cherished mother of Richard Adams of Quincy, Sharon Morgan of Plymouth, Susan Calvert and her husband Jeffrey of Squantum, Janet Protulis and her husband Robert of Cohasset, Kathleen Marks and her husband David of Cohasset, Michael Adams and his wife Margaret of Squantum and Cheryl Koch and her husband William of Kingston. Sister of the late Lillian Hogarty and Francis Gillogly. Helen is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Helen was born in Watertown and raised in Chelsea. She graduated from Chelsea High School. She was a devoted wife and mother . She dedicated her life to her family making sure that their childhood was rich with family love and tradition, which would later become the foundation of all that was truly important to her. She enjoyed bingo, traveling and taking her children camping. She loved her yearly trip with her daughters to Kittery, ME where they created life long memories, which they cherish today. Helen will be remembered as a fun loving and caring mother who valued honesty. Although her family is heart broken at her loss, they are grateful for all the blessings she brought into their lives. She will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Alzheimers Disease Research Foundation, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472 or to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
