Horne, Harvey W. of Hull & Black Canyon City, Arizona May 3, 2002. Beloved son of Perla Emma Horne of Hingham & the late Joseph H. Horne. Loving father of Patricia Bryant of FL, Michelle Milliken of Londonderry, NH & Mindy Mattingly of Center Ossippee, NH. Beloved friend of the late Jacqueline Alexander. Devoted brother of Perla Horne Olsen, Lorraine Horne, both of Hull & the late Phyllis Horne. Beloved grandfather of 5. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.Harvey lived and worked in Black Canyon City, Arizona for the last 8 years. (He grew up in Arlington and moved to Hull as a teenager.) He was the owner of the Black Canyon Trading Post and Petting Zoo. An animal activist, Harvey was always involved in caring for all types of animals. His petting zoo was free admission and he enjoyed educating children about animals. Earlier in life, Harvey worked as an animal caretaker at Benson’s Animal Farm in Hudson, NH and at Paragon Park in Hull. He was also a Master Painter (housepainter and interior painting). Harvey served as the President of the Black Canyon City Chamber of Commerce, as an Officer on the Arizona Tourist Bureau, and as a member of the Lions Club & 4H. He was an avid collector of everything from stamps & coins to movie memorabilia and loved country music.
