Harry R. Lyons

 Harry R. Lyons  of Milton, formerly of Warwick, RI, entered into eternal rest on March 25, 2016, at the age of 93. Beloved husband of Joan C. (Caufield) and the late Greta (Chapdelain). Devoted father of Ann Hall and her husband Michael of Carolina, RI and the late Jane Savoie and Mary Jones. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Brother of Jean Knight and Mary E. “Betty” Ranieri and the late Louise, Stella, Margaret, James, Daniel, Raymond and Ann.

Harry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII aboard the USS Enterprise, the most decorated ship during WWII. As a young man, Harry was an Eagle Scout. He served on the Milton Democratic Town Club and the Warrant Committee. Harry was a life member of the National Association of Power Engineers. He also was a member of the VFW.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON on Sunday from  3-7pm.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 8am followed by a funeral service will be held at the Wollaston Church of the Nazarene, 37 East Elm Ave., Quincy on  Monday at 9  am.

Burial will take place at the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter, RI.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Wollaston Church of the Nazarene or to The Old Colony Hospice, One Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02360.
