Wheaton, Harry “Bob”. of Quincy, passed away August 15, 2011. The beloved husband of many years to the late Marion (Ward) Wheaton. Former husband of the late Annette (Keady) Wheaton. Loving father of Christine Campbell of Dedham , Robert Wheaton of Franklin, Diane Curran of West Roxbury and Elaine Noris of Dedham. Cherished Stepfather of Steven Blair of West Roxbury, Alan Blair of Dedham, Wendy Tammaro of Quincy, Mark Blair of Bridgewater and the late Robert Blair. Harry is survived by many grandchildren including Kim Long, who has devoted the last several years to taking great care of him. He is also survived by many great grandchildren. A proud W.W.II Navy veteran, Bob was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #25. He worked for F.J. Cole for many years. He enjoyed traveling, playing horseshoes and bowling. He lived in Florida for several years with his late wife Marion. Bob also worked as a bartender at the VFW post in Dedham. The focus of his life was his family. He loved being surrounded by all of them. He will be remembered was a devoted man with a great big smile who made everyone feel special. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 10:30 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to Homeless Veterans Shelter, 17 Court Street, Boston, MA 02108 .
