Harry P. Keegan, Iii

Harry P., Keegan III of Norwell, died January 17, 2014. Harry grew up in Hyde Park and was a longtime resident of Braintree, prior to moving to Norwell over 15 years ago. In his early years he worked for Gillette in product management and design. In 1984 he founded Braintree Laboratories and was the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. He was active in the business until the day he passed away. Harry was on the board of advisors at Northeastern University and was instrumental in founding many small companies over the years. He was an incredibly intelligent man with a passion for business and a dedication to his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, work ethic and strong faith.

 Beloved husband of 49 years to Frances M. (Burke) Keegan of Norwell. Devoted father of Kristin Hunt and her husband James, Jr. of Hanover and Harry P. Keegan, IV and his fiancee Jennifer Yarbrough of Boston. Cherished “Grandpa” of Gabrielle, Victoria, James, Joseph, Peter and Francesca. Loving brother of Jane Beck and her late husband Martin of Plymouth and John Keegan and his wife Christine of Sandwich. Brother-in-law of Marguerite Tylick and her husband Michael of Marshfield, Mary Raleigh and her husband Robert of Braintree, Joseph Burke and his wife Karen of Mashpee, James Burke of Braintree and the late Robert Burke and his wife Pamela of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 2-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, Hanover at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Harry may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
