Harriet J. Bonish

Harriet J. (Malnate) Bonish of Quincy, died March 22, 2017.

The beloved wife of the late Francis P. “Frank” Bonish. Mother of Harry  A. Bonish of ME, Jeffrey J. Bonish and his wife Rachel of Stow, MA and Charles Bonish of Quincy. Grandmother of Harry A. Bonish, Jr. and Marisa Bonish. 

Harriet was a long time practitioner of many arts. She was a singer who performed before many local clubs and organizations. She was a published poet and also enjoyed oil painting and sketching. She was also a past board member of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra. Many other organizations enjoyed her membership including the Wollaston Junior Women’s Club, the Quincy City Hospital Women’s Auxiliary and was a past president of the Cranch School PTA.

 She will be remembered for her devotion to her family: Her musical background inspired all of her sons to study and perform with instruments including piano, organ, guitars, bass and drums. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, March 27 from  5-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, MA.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:45 AM on Tuesday, March 28 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 11:30 AM.

Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
