Crowley, Harold S., Sr. of Quincy, February 4, 2005. The beloved husband of Catherine B. (Shockroo), father of Harold S. Crowley Jr. of Quincy, Ann C. and her husband Stefen Schwarz of Plymouth, Daniel J. Crowley of Braintree and Edgewater, FL and the late George E. Crowley. Brother of Veleta Almedia of Bristol, RI, Jeannie Scolaro of Ossipee, NH and the late Dorothy Andrade and Alton Crowley. Also survived by 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Active Member of the N.Q. Knights of Columbus, Charter member K of C’s Cardinal Cushing Fourth Degree Assembly. Volunteer Scouter for many years. Employed for several years by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. in Bristol, RI, where he helped to build several boats that went on to win the America’s Cup. During WWII he worked at the Boston Naval Shipyard before becoming a master foreman at the George E. Lawley Shipyard in Neponset. Following the war he worked for Brooks-Skinner and Pneumatic Scale in Quincy before being employed by the Polaroid Corp. for 17 years, retiring in 1973.
