Harold C. Miller

Harold C. Miller of Braintree, died November 2, 2013 at Bay Path in Duxbury.

Surrounded by family, Harold passed peacefully joining his wife of 59 years Marilyn G. Miller who passed away on October 24, 2013. Harold was born and raised in Winthrop. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and is a graduate of Boston University. Harold worked in the insurance business for many years and eventually became a partner of Aegis Insurance in Braintree for more than 25 years. Harold was a kind, gentle, patient man who enjoyed reading his paper and watching the Patriots and Bruins games.

He leaves behind his children Mark Miller and his wife Sunny of Tulsa, OK, Meredith Miller and her partner Steve Jones of Randolph, and Barry Miller and his wife Chris of Duxbury; his brother Paul Miller and his wife Amy of Winthrop; along with his grandchildren Rebecca and Ryan of Duxbury who adored their “Poppy” very much. He also leaves behind many relatives and friends who will miss his gentle ways.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Wednesday from 10-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
