Loving mother of Kathleen Douglas Muther of Hingham and Boston, Joseph Witt of VT, Maureen Banting of St. Petersburg, FL and Dennis M. Witt of Rockland. Sister of Lena Kristnofe of Scituate, Salvatore “Sam” Amonte of Hingham, Louise Logsdon of IN and the late Nellie Santavicca, Rocco Amonte, Joseph Amonte, Viola Achille, Frank Amonte & Pasquale Amonte. Also survived by 9 grandchildren Joseph, Michelle, Joshua, Catherine, Jessica, Stephen, Adam, Dennis and 1 great grandchild, Justin. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 3-7 PM with memory sharing at 5:30 PM. Cremation will follow. Grace was Founder and Director of Dolly’s Nursery School in Hingham for 25 years. She is known throughout Hingham, where she lived for many years, as “Miss Dolly”. Recently, she retired from Pembroke Academy, a nursery school, where she was also founder and director. During WWII, Dolly served in the Women’s Army Corps (WAC) and prior to that supported the war effort at the Hingham Shipyard as one of the first “Rosie the Riveters”. She was a member of the Grange, the American Legion in Pembroke and St. Joseph’s Sodality in Pembroke. Her education included Tewksbury State Nursing School and Bridgewater State College where she earned her Bachelor’s in Education.
