Blaney, Gordon H. of Quincy, died May 30, 2017.
Gordon adored his family and friends, especially his late wife Donna. He was very involved in the community, including a member of the IBEW Local 103, a volunteer and board member for Mass Hockey and Quincy Youth Hockey, and in 2008 was inducted in the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame. Gordon worked as an electrician for many years at Rotman Electric. He was a smart, strong and dedicated man who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Beloved husband of the late Donna M. (Palmieri). Loving father of Keith Blaney and his wife Barbara of Braintree, Deborah Hilton and her husband Brian of Brockton, and Janice Diorio and her husband Joseph of Quincy. Cherished brother of Richard Blaney of Easton, Gina Blaney of NH, and the late Marylou Blaney. Loving “Papa” of Allison Lemack and Timothy Lemack, Nicholas, Mark, and Kaitlyn Blaney, Zackary Hilton, and Dominic Diorio. Survived by his brother in law and his wife, Charles Palmieri and Jeannie Palmieri. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
