Gladys I. Arikian

Arikian, Gladys Irene (Scott) of Braintree, passed away at home unexpectedly, August 14, 2015.

Born October 14, 1936, Gladys was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Batson) Scott. She was the beloved mother of Hank Arikian of Santa Rosa, CA and Hellen V. Kelley, loving grandmother of Michael Kelley of Dorchester, and dear sister of Shirley Burke of Hull, Phylliss Aucoin of Hull, Carol Scott, and Lorraine Scott both of Halifax and the late Barbara McCullough. Gladys is also survived by 10 loving nieces and nephews and 22 grandnieces and grandnephews. 

Gladys was a long time employee of Diamond Crystal Salt Company.  She also worked as a Unit Coordinator of the Pain Clinic at South Shore Hospital for many years.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:00 AM Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Clare’s Church, 1244 Liberty Street, Braintree at 9:00 AM. Cremation will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gladys’ memory to Alzheimer’s Assocation, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
