Gladys P. (Frost) Gagnon

Gladys P. (Frost) Gagnon, of Quincy, formerly of New York and married in Tennessee, died peacefully on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. She was 82.

Gladys was born in Boston on November 15, 1941, and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Amy (Campbell) Frost. She was raised in Roxbury and attended local schools.

Gladys had a fiery spirit, but loved with her whole heart. She had an incredible love for animals especially her beloved pets: Shadow, Hazel, and Rex. Gladys enjoyed her daily Dunkin’ Donuts coffee and above all spending time with her great granddaughter, Freya Neilson, who she adored immensely. She was intensely proud of her late husband Roy, and his service to the City of Boston’s Police Department. Gladys was a funny, feisty woman, who will be fondly remembered for her dark sense of humor.

Gladys was the beloved wife of the late Roy E. Gagnon, BPD, Ret., who died in 2010. She was the mother of Barbara Gagnon, Annmarie McCauley and the late John McCauley. Gladys was the grandmother of Amanda Neilson and her husband Brandon, Amy and Jonathan McCauley. She was preceded in death by her six siblings and is also survived by three beautiful great granddaughters.

A graveside service will be held in Pine Hill Cemetery, (off Chickatawbut Road), Quincy, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at 11:30 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
