Prestia, Giuseppe “Bruno”, of Hull, died Friday, December 24, 2010. Beloved husband of Maria (Commoso) Prestia of Hull. Loving “Papa” to Frank Prestia and his wife Christin (Mahoney) of Hull and Joe Prestia and his wife Maureen (Whalen) of Hingham. Cherished “Nonno” to Francesco, Joseph, Luka, Nikolas and Brendan Prestia. Brother of Rocco Prestia of NJ and the late Tito Prestia and Theresa Ritorto. Nephew of Theresa Caracciolo and her daughters Lisa Corrado and Stephanie Olsen. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Bruno was born and raised in Italy and then moved to the United States in 1972. He married his childhood friend Maria and they have been together for 45 years. He has been a barber for the past 38 years at Gino’s Barber Shop in Quincy, up until his illness this year. Bruno enjoyed his trips back to Italy to visit his family. The focal point of his life was his family. He also was an avid gardener. Bruno was kind, loving, caring, and gentle. He will be missed by all those who loved him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 4 – 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday, December 30, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass from St. Mary of the Assumption Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery. Donations in memory of Bruno may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
