Gilda J. Vitale

Vitale, Gilda J. (Camuso) of Weymouth, passed away August 29, 2017.

Gilda was born in Boston to the late Pasquale and Elga Camuso. She was a graduate of East Boston High School and attended Bentley College. Gilda was a kind hearted, generous woman who loved music, swimming and traveling around the world with her husband.

Beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph J. Vitale. Cherised mother of Dr. Laura Vitale Romo and her husband Dr. John Romo of Mansfield and Ruth Vitale of Los Angeles. Treasured Gammy to Jack and Isabella Romo of Mansfield. Loving sister Aurora Mari of Dennis and Pasquale Camuso of Dennis. Predeceased Walter Camuso, Nina Corvi, Elga Richards and Adolfo Camuso. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gilda’s family would like to send out a special thanks to her close friends and caregivers; Peggy Boulis, Kathy Curran, Sue Maxwell and Karen Lutz.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 5-9 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:30 on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial at a later date.
