Gertrude A. Tinney

Gertrude A. (Shaw) Lally Tinney of Quincy, MA

 Born April 1, 1937, she passed away peacefully on July 15, 2024.

 Beloved Mother of Katherine Osborn, Brian Lally (Michelle), Kevin Lally (Kathleen) and the Late Sean and Joan Lally.

 Cherished Grandmother of Ryan and Brandon Osborn, Paul and Brian Lally, Reese Lally and Sophia Lally.

 Dearest sister of Francis Shaw (Annette), Joan Monahan and the late Marie Miri and Robert Shaw.

 Aunt to many loving nieces and nephews.

 Gert was a graduate of Dorchester High School, while raising her children worked at several well known restaurants in the Quincy area.

 She lived for her family and it is hard to describe in a short paragraph all she meant because of her loving and giving spirit. She shared many memorable moments with her friends at the Elks of Quincy and the Common Market.

 A special thank you to the Ruth McLain Hospice Center for the loving care to Gertrude and the Family.

 Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, July 21, 2024 from 2-5 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday July 22nd prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
