Gertrude M. (Wood) Nault

Mrs. Gertrude M. (Wood) Nault, of Weymouth, formerly of South Yarmouth, passed away on January 5, 2024 at the age of 97.

Born in Boston, raised in Dorchester, she was one of six children to her parents John and Margaret (Casey) Wood.

Gert had a quick wit and loved to play cards, boardgames, and bingo. She retired from the U.S. Postal Service, East Weymouth.

Predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Raymond L. Nault, she was the loving mother to Raymond Nault (Marguerite) of Brookline, Barbara Babineau (John) of South Weymouth, Patt Miller (Rick) of St. James City, FL, Karen Haskell (Dan) of South Yarmouth, Robert Nault (Christine), of East Weymouth, and John Nault (Anne) of South Yarmouth. 

She was the sister to her late siblings, Ralph Wood, Helen MacDonald, Rita Nightingale, Lorraine Cotter, and John Wood. Gert was “Nana” to fourteen grandchildren including the late Kerry Nault and “ Gigi” to fourteen great grandchildren.
