Johnson, Gertrude M. “Trudy” of Hull, January 05, 2011. Beloved wife of George Johnson of Hull. Loving mother of James R. Bell of Hull, Lisa M. Bell of Halifax, Derek Johnson of Weymouth and the late Brian and Karen Bell. Sister of Jack and Robert Ryan both of Quincy and the late Sheila Ariel, Richard Doucette and Edward Reardon. Daughter of the Late James and Mary Reardon and the Late Theresa and John Ryan. Stepmother of David Johnson of Bridgewater, Patricia Foley of Stoughton, Joseph Johnson of Concord and Philip Johnson of Bridgewater. Trudy was also survived by 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild and 3 deceased grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Trudy was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester. Trudy worked at Stars (Pages) Restaurant in Hingham for 27 years before retiring in 2004. She settled in Hull 29 years ago where she made her home near the ocean which she loved. She enjoyed bowling, going to the beach, shopping and spending time with her close friends. Trudy was devoted to her cats and dogs and loved all animals. Most of all Trudy was a wonderful wife and mother who cherished time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday, January 09, 2011 2-6PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Monday, January 10, 2011 prior to the Funeral Mass in in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10:00 AM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Trudy may be made to Jimmy Fund, 1309 Beacon St., Brookline, MA 024469918.
