Hope and her husband Allen of North Andover. Sister of the late James Wallace. Devoted Grandmother of Michelle Buckley of Boston and Rebecca & Charles Hope of North Andover. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Gertrude “Trudy ” H. (Wallace) Buckley, grew up in Dorchester. She was one of the very first women who worked as a security trader. Trudy worked for Weeden & Co. in Boston for 33 years. She was a member of the Boston Security Traders Assoc. She was very proud of her career. Trudy was the chairwomen at Quincy Hospital for many years. She served on the board of Governors at Quincy Hospital under Mayor McCauley for 18 years. She was also one of the founding members of the Mayors Commission of the status of Women in 1974 under Mayor Walter Hannon. Trudy also was one of the founding members of D.O.V.E. Progran in Quincy. Along with her husband Thomas together they helped create the South Shore chapter of A.A.R.P. She was also very active in politics. Trudy was also one of the founding members of St. Boniface Church in Quincy. She was also on the Quincy Counsel of Aging. She was an avid piano player. Along with her husband of 64 years, they traveled the world .She enjoyed traveling to the Panama Canal, the Caribbean Islands, Alaska, Russia, Norway, Ireland, France, England, Scotland, Canada and have driven across the United States.
