Barry, Gertrude A. (Collins) of North Quincy, passed away October 12, 2016. 

Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Joseph A. Barry and daughter of the late John and Mary Collins. Loving mother of Kevin J. Barry and his wife Faith of Deerfield, NH. Loving grandmother of Jonathan and Sara Barry, Caitlin and Jared McGouldrick and Maura and Steve Camburn and great grandmother of Joseph, Colin and Riley.  Dear Aunt of Karen, her husband Jay Nadeau, Esq. and their children Riley Elizabeth and Joseph Barry Nadeau of Rye, NH. Gert is survived by her sister Patricia and was predeceased by her siblings John, Joe, Irene, Marie, Helen, and Tom. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Gert was a lifelong resident of Quincy and attended Sacred Heart Church for many years. Gert attended North Quincy High School and was Secretary of her class of 1943. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Quincy Community Action Programs. She also served as a Board Member for The Indian Mound Property Owners Association in Ossipee, NH where she and her late husband Joe spent many happy years. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 10:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Funeral Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 1 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

Donations in memory of Gert may be made to: the St. Vincent De Paul Society, c/o Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock St., Quincy MA 02171.
