Pyne, Gerard W. of Tuftonboro, NH, formerly of Hingham, August 17, 2007. Husband of the late Joan (Bushey) Pyne. Loving father of Daniel G. Pyne of Mercer Island, WA, Eileen Pyne of Braintree, and Mary Ellen Tracy of Winthrop, ME. Brother of John Pyne of PA. Loving “Grampa” of Devin G., Eric I., & Sean M. Pyne and Adrienne N. Tracy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Gerry was a graduate of Boston College. After being discharged from the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict, he went to work for his father at Pyne Funeral Home in Hingham. Gerry later became the owner and operator of the funeral home. An avid golfer and woodworker, he enjoyed working with his hands. He was a long time member and past president of the Hingham Rotary Club and a longtime board member and chairman of the board at Hingham Institution for Savings.
