Gerard P. Williams

Gerard Paul Williams, of Hingham, formerly of Fort Lee, NJ, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2020 after a long illness. He was 87 years old.

Born to Frank A. and Catherine (McKenna) Williams, Jerry was raised in the Roxbury and Dorchester sections of Boston, one of ten children. He was predeceased by all of his seven brothers and two sisters and survived by a large number of nieces and nephews. 

He graduated from St. Joseph’s Elementary School and was a 1950 graduate of Boston College High School. He enrolled at the Jesuits House of Stalisuis at Shadowbrook, Lenox, MA and Weston College. He recieved his Bachelor’s of Arts and Masters of Art degrees from Boston College. He pursued a career in education, serving in a variety of teaching, counseling, and administration positions in secondary and higher education settings. He was well respected as a counselor to the students that he worked with. He retired from the Englewood Schools. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 9-10 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Mass will be private and there will be a graveside service in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, Boston at 12:30 PM.
