Gerard “Gerry” Francis Jaehnig

Gerard “Gerry” Francis Jaehnig of Sebastian, FL went home to the Lord on November 26, 2023.

“Let’s get up and go!” Gerry truly loved living.  He and his loving Life Partner, Diana, retired 5 years ago to begin chipping away at their bucket list.  Gerry loved boating, poker, traveling, and his dogs Frisky, Lilly, and Web.  Fun events that he loved were classic rock concerts, the Daytona 500, and renaissance fairs. When he moved to Florida, he took up new hobbies of bocce, swimming, walking and bought a set of golf clubs… however he never quite made it to the PGA tour!

Gerry was incredible with numbers.  He graduated summa cum laude from Suffolk College in Boston. He was always willing, even in retirement, to still help his friends with their taxes and giving advice.  He could do any math in his mind.

Gerry was dynamic, he was the definition of “spontaneity”.  He loved new places, new food, new music, and just “going for a ride” at the spur of the moment.  He filled this world with love.  Gerry will be greatly missed by all whose lives he touched.

Gerry leaves behind his Life Partner Diana C. Farrell, and brother Arthur Jaehnig Jr. He is predeceased by his sister Mary Ellen McGinty. Gerry is also survived by a niece, nephews, friends and family. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 11 AM-2 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, MA. On Monday, December 11, 2023 the Funeral Mass will be held in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy, MA at 10 AM. Please see www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
