Geraldine Glynn (Ridge) of Braintree, MA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Geraldine was the very loving mother of Leeanne (Glynn) Livrago and her husband Joseph of Weymouth.
She was preparing to shortly welcome her first granddaughter.
She was also the beloved daughter of the late John J and Marilyn L Ridge. Cherished sister of Maureen Connolly and her husband Patrick of Scituate, Jack Ridge and his wife Shelly of Richmond Hill, GA, and Christine Riley and her husband Kirk of Weymouth. Geraldine also had 10 nieces and nephews who she was very close to, as well as many cousins.
She was raised in Quincy and went through the Quincy public school system NQHS 1979 and graduated from Quincy College with her associates degree.
She worked on the docks in South Boston for Subaru where she met her former husband Francis Glynn, divorced, but friends. She delivered mail for the United States Post Office in Jamaica Plain and she worked for the phone company.
Geraldine grew up on Wollaston Beach and many people knew her from working at the Wollaston Bowladrome. Geraldine was a highly ranked bowler there and went on to win some competitions on television.
She also bowled and played softball for many years with Koch Club and Quincy Women’s Softball. Geraldine enjoyed painting and being near water. She also loved playing the guitar. She was very proud of the family she had and will be sorely missed by them and her many friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during visiting hours on Thursday, January 16th, 5-7 pm in the McDonald-Keohane Funeral Home, Sea St. North Weymouth. A funeral Mass will be held in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth on Friday, January 17th, at 10:30 am. Burial will be privately held at a later date.
