Geraldine D. Setlin

Setlin, Geraldine D. (Kadtka) of Hull, formerly of Springfield, died January 27, 2015. 

Geraldine’s life revolved around her family.  She was born in Pennsylvania, lived in New York City and settled in Springfield, MA for over 40 years.  While in New York she worked as a showroom model and at Dumont Television.  She retired from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance as a Purchasing Agent in 1986.  Mrs. Setlin was a very creative lady and enjoyed painting, drawing, sewing, dancing and tennis.  Her Christian upbringing led her to volunteer in her community and help with many charitable endeavors.  She will be remembered for her feistiness, love of life, and vivacious attitude. 

Beloved wife of the late George S. Setlin.  Loving mother of the late Leisa Setlin and Jenivfer Setlin.  Sister of the late Vincent Kadtka and his late wife Mary and the late Eleanor Kadtka.  Aunt of Jacqueline Zeiler of Hull, Marilyn Varrastro of NY and Walter Kadtka of PA.  Great aunt of Mary Frances Verrastro of NY and Rocco Verrastro of FL.  Dear friend of John Taylor of Hull. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home.  Burial will be private.  Donations in memory of Geraldine may be made to The Salvation Army, Massachusetts Division, 25 Shawmut Road, Canton, MA 02021.
