Geraldine A. Jones, of Hull and formerly of Clarence, New Jersey, died peacefully after a long illness on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham. She was 59.

Born in Plainfield, New Jersey on April 20, 1961, she was raised in Buffalo and attended local schools. She continued her education at Buffalo State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism. Geraldine worked in automotive sales for many years and loved her career. She enjoyed working with the public and valued all the relationships she built throughout the years. In her spare time, Geraldine was a sailor and loved to be out on her boat in the ocean. For a short time, she owned a hot air balloon and would offer rides to the public. Geraldine was a voracious reader and collected many books. She had a very big personality and was always the life of the party. People were drawn to her and she them. Spending time with family and friends was one of her favorite things.

Geraldine was a cherished daughter of Edward S. Jones and Mary (DiVito) Jones of Augusta, Georgia. Geraldine was preceded in death by her mother Mary. She was the dear sister of Stephen Jones of Virginia and Lori Jones and her husband Dan Welden of New York. Geraldine was the adored aunt of Isla Welden of New York and is also survived by many loving cousins, extended family members and friends.

Geraldine’s funeral services will be held privately. Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with Geraldine’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by clicking the “Send Condolences” link above and sharing a special memory or message.
